Welcome to the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University. Whether you are joining us as a student, trainee, faculty member, staff colleague, research partner, or community collaborator, we are delighted that you are part of our mission.

Located in the heart of Detroit, our department is deeply committed to advancing cancer research, education, and patient care. Through innovative basic, translational, and clinical research, we strive to expand scientific understanding and translate discoveries into meaningful improvements in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Our work is strengthened by close collaboration with our clinical and research partners, including the Karmanos Cancer Institute, where cutting-edge science and compassionate care come together to serve our community and beyond.

Education and mentorship are central to who we are. We are dedicated to training the next generation of oncologists, physician-scientists, and cancer researchers. Our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized leaders who are deeply invested in fostering curiosity, integrity, and excellence in every learner.
